On May 14 and 15, the International Forensic Genetics Conference is being held at the facilities of the Auditorium of the National Service of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences: “Biological Evidence at the Crime Scene”, with the participation of Ecuador’s leading investigative authorities.
This workshop is led by Dr. Bruce Budowle, a geneticist from Virginia Tech and State University who has worked in the FBI’s Laboratory Division, developing and validating methods for forensic biological analysis.
The objective of this meeting is to strengthen the technical, scientific and methodological capacities of civilian experts from the National Prosecution Service and the National Police. The event is also held to enrich the knowledge of researchers and public servants involved in administrative justice processes in Ecuador.
This meeting is made possible thanks to the support of Gordon Thomas Honeywell DNA, the coordination of the National Service of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, and Justicia Forense – DNA Latin America.
