We visited the DNA laboratory in the city of Guayaquil

The “Forensic Justice: DNA Latin America” team had the honor of visiting Ecuador again on September 26-28 for strategic meetings on DNA databases with justice authorities, heads of laboratories and stakeholders in the country. During a detailed program, progress was made in defining the criteria for the next Webinar entitled “Forensic DNA at the Service of Justice in Ecuador” to be held on October 20 and an International Seminar in Quito on November 17 of this year. The objective of these events will be to open the space for the public and governmental dialogues that Ecuador needs and to promote legislation that regulates the creation and use of criminal DNA profile databases. “Forensic Justice: DNA Latin America is proud to assist Ecuador with technical support in the formulation of this national strategy to optimize the use of forensic sciences in the application of efficient and effective justice for victims.
